Are you an experienced HR professional ready to take on a dynamic role in manufacturing where no two days are the same? Join our team as HR Advisor and become a driving force behind employee engagement, policy development and overall business performance at our site!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Support a healthy working environment by supporting managers and supervisors with investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, absenteeism, flexible working applications. Lead union meetings, ensure actions are followed and notes recorded. Deputise for the HR Manager as and when required.
  • Employee Engagement: Co-ordinate and drive a successful program, organise employee meetings, facilitate open communication through newsletters, arrange events with external stakeholders and charities, ensue all employees are informed of company goals.
  • Shape Company Culture: Assist HR Manager and leadership teams with the development and implementation of new HR policies and long-term business improvement projects.
  • Drive Compliance & Audit: Ensure GDPR compliance, complete audits and ensure all reports are updated on to systems
  • Training & Development: Support managers with site-wide training programs, maintain the annual training plan and communicate any changes to employment law or company policies. Support recruitment, onboarding and inductions for new starters.
  • Payroll : Support payroll processing activities and manage any enquiries

 

Requirements

  • Experience as a HR Advisor/Generalist/Business Partner in a unionised environment
  • CIPD qualified or significant industry experience
  • Passionate about HR, driving change and fostering a positive work environment
  • Union experience - essential
  • Manufacturing experience - preferred
  • Confident and willing to challenge the norm and drive improvement initiatives
