The Role:

As a Workshop Fitter, you'll be an integral part of our well-established team, working on a variety of mechanical systems and industrial machinery. Key responsibilities include:

• Stripping, inspecting, and rebuilding industrial gearboxes.
• Inspecting and overhauling industrial machinery both on & off site.
• General mechanical fitting and workshop duties.
• Fault diagnosis, service, and repair.
• Providing technical support to customers.
• Completing reports both on paper and digitally - legible handwriting and computer literacy are essential.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualifications: Apprentice-trained in a heavy engineering environment or HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Strong mechanical background in industries such as aerospace, energy, or automotive.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, customer handling abilities, and the capacity to work independently. Competent in the use of verniers and micrometers to enable accurate reports to be compiled and the ability to make detailed sketches so drawings can be made to manufacture parts.
• Physical Fitness: This role requires a good level of physical fitness due to the nature of the work.
• Driving Licence: A valid driving licence is essential.
