Lead Technician

Typical responsibilities as Lead Technician will be to: -

* Oversee and manage job changes, ensuring minimal downtime due to mechanical issues.
* Prioritise and delegate tasks to your engineering team of ten, ensuring all essential work is completed efficiently.
* Plan and carry out preventative maintenance during job changes to reduce potential engineering problems.
* Communicate clearly with plant management and other departments to optimise production performance.
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to the development of new procedures.
* Support the business in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).

The successful candidate will: -

* Ideally be a time-served, qualified engineer.
* Have experience in a process-driven environment manufacturing/maintenance environment.
* Have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Have knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools and continuous improvement methods.
* Have a good understanding of Health & Safety Regulations.
* Have good people management and leadership skills.
